She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Gibson and Britannia Gibson. She is survived by: her daughter Joni Jr. (Tom). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
In honor of her mother and in lieu of flowers, Joni Jr. requests, "Please go out to eat, take a trip, go shopping and remember a moment you shared with Joni.".
