He was predeceased by: his parents, Gumicindo Alvarez and Tomasa Alvarez (Lopez). He is survived by: his wife Maria Lopez; his children, Marisabel Torres, Benito Lopez Jr., Mildred Lopez and Magaly Lopez; his stepdaughters, Mayra Decena and Sylvia Reyes; and his siblings, Raul Alvarez Lopez, Joaquin Vasquez Lopez, Cecilio Vasquez, Felicita Whitson and Luisa Alvarez Lopez. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home (1024 E Landis Ave, Vineland, NJ 08360). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
