She was predeceased by: her husband Gilberto Castro; and her son Ricardo Castro. She is survived by: her children, Robert Castro (Gloria), Manuel "Nello" Castro, Edward Castro (Lily), Carmen Ventura and Digna Castro-Gonzalez (Adoni); and her grandchildren, Margie Castro, Robert Castro, Christina Castro, Alex Ventura (Kerry), Gerry Ventura (Tammy), Edgar Vega-Castro, Irving Hudson (Alexa), Christian Gonzalez, Justin Castro, Michael Castro and Vanessa Adams. She is also survived by extended family including 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
