He was predeceased by: his wife Laura "Pinky" Serra; his son John V. Serra; and his siblings, Rocco, John F., Thomas, Solve, Rose Giovinazzi, Carmella Casella and Mary Landi.
He is survived by: his half-sister Ellen Serra; and his children, Bob Serra (Susan Serra), Renee McVan (John McVan) and Andrea Serra (David Horn). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
