She was predeceased by : her husband Robert Burns; her parent Elizabeth Geyer; and her aunt Anna Geyer. She is survived by : her children, Christopher (Joni Burns), Terry (Chris Russo), Jackie (Jack Kelley), Kelly (Wally Shope), Scott Burns of Vineland, NJ and Drs; and her grandchildren, Brittany (Scott), Scott Michael, Nicolette, Shannon, Cavan, Alexa, Kristen, Falcon, Logan, Charlotte and Violet.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Madeleine's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
