She was loved and cherished by many people including: her aunts, Annie Gilbert-Johnson, Ceola Merrell and Eva Williams; her uncle Ralph Merrell; her husband Vernon Fussell; her children, Vernon Jr. and Cheryl Fussell (NJ); her siblings, Carl (NJ) and Maxine (NJ); her granddaughters, Tiffany, Nyla and Talaya; her great grandchildren, Nedra Carstarphen and Emilia Santos; her granddaughter Eniyah Parks; her great grandchildren, Jonnell Payne Jr. of Camden, NJ and Jason Payne of Camden, NJ; her parents, Steve Johnson and Helen Johnson; her son Norris Fussell; her sister Shirley Taylor; and her granddaughter Nortisha Wilkins. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
