John, born on January 23, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. He was predeceased by: his brother Matthew Cassidy. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Cassidy; his children, Jillian, John, Colleen and Kerry Cassidy; his children-in-law, Jamie Bisset and Cara Deegan; and his siblings, Donna Perk, Mary Murphy, Linda Moon, Dennis Cassidy and Brian Cassidy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home (2028 NJ-35, Wall Township, NJ 07719). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Mark's Church (215 Crescent Pkwy, Sea Girt, NJ 08750).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jack's memory to Long Island Bulldog Rescue.
