He was predeceased by: his wife Ann; his son Larry; and his siblings, Robert James, Jr., Joseph Henry (Buster), Edward Lyle, Grover Richard (Dickie), Gladys Mae Soden (Sissy), Lois Marie Corpon (Tottsie), Marion Elizabeth Flannagan and Marjorie Leach.
He is survived by: his children, John W. Bennett, Jr. (Kathy) of Brick and Judith L. Casey (Richard) of Wall Township; his siblings, Thomas Arthur Bennett and Charlotte Ann Richardson (Cookie); and his caregivers, Allie, Sara, Letisha, Lynn, Amy and Chaplin Dan. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home (2028 NJ-35, Wall Township, NJ 07719). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. Anne Cemetery (1610 Allenwood Rd, Wall Township, NJ 07719).
