He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia. He is survived by: his children, Steven and Dianne Sabat; his daughter-in-law Ruth Anne; his grandchildren, Patty Terhune, Matthew Terhune, Juliana Rios and Mateo Rios (Rios); and his granddaughter-in-law Michelle Golonka.
