He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Kovac and Eleanor Kovac; and his brothers, Paul, Joseph, John and Robert.

He is survived by: his wife Marie Kovac; his children, Edward (Annamarie) of Lopatcong Township and Amy LaBella (Jeff) of Pohatcong Township; his grandchildren, Kim Harmon (Alex) of Clinton, NJ, Erica, Meredith, James, Thomas and Paulie; and his nephews, Joseph (Karen), Ronald (Debra), John (Diane) and Kenneth.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to offer an expression of sympathy are asked to consider making a donation to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.

Shared great times taking BP at the old Rutgers Baseball field, and Cookie came to see our son Glen play in the late 80s. A great advocate of the game and a supporter of people he cared about.
