He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Barbara (late Michael), Elizabeth, Alice (late Scott) and Melvin Jr. (Danielle); his grandchildren, Cathy Jo (Andrew), Kelley, Sarah, Jacqualine, Norman (Miranda), Nicole and Jake; his great grandchildren, Kaya, Ariah, Andrew Jr. and Layla; and his siblings, Shirley (late Ronald), Edward (late Marie), Evelyn and Walter. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
