He is survived by: his mother Mary Merlino (Clancy) of Pittsburgh; his wife Therese Merlino (McCarthy); his siblings, Karen Hassig (Dave) of Camarillo, Donna Miller (Mic) of New Sewickley, Pennsylvania and Jeff Merlino (Tracey) of Erie, Pennsylvania.; his in-laws, Joseph McCarthy (Irene) of Rockford, Michigan, Chris McCarthy-Kragt (Jerry) of Rockford, Michigan and Ken McCarthy (Kara) of Kent City, Michigan.; his nieces and nephews, Jessica, Greg, Alexi, Andrea, Nicole, Jace, Anthony, Julianna and Evelyn; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Peyton and Rohan.
