She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Simons and Mildred Simons; her husband Charles Shay; her brother Ronald Shay; her grandson Brian Kitchen; and her son Ronald Shay.

She is survived by: her daughter Linda Shay; and her grandchildren, Cherinee Shay, Rhonda Jordan, Pamela Kitchen and Patricia Tefteller. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren.
