It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley M. Covert of Washington, New Jersey, who passed away on April 2, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Gilbert H. Getchius (Geneva Weilamann) and Getchius Shive; her husband Lawrence David Covert (Pat); her niece Kyle Vishnesky; and her friends, Bruce and Pam Brunner. She was also cherished by many cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Warren Hills Memorial (234 W Washington Ave, Washington, NJ 07882). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Greenstone United Methodist Church (116 E Washington Ave, Washington, NJ 07882). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Musconetcong Valley Cemetery (78 Valley Rd, Clifton, NJ 07013).
