He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Lakatos and Estelle Lakatos; and his wife Virginia Lakatos. He is survived by: his children, Christopher Lakatos (Kristen) and Elizabeth Powers (Jon); his grandchildren, Shannon Lakatos, Ryan Lakatos and Paige Powers; and his brother Stephen J. Lakatos (Barbara). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Higgins Home For Funerals (752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, NJ 07069). A Mass will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Mount Chapel (167 Mt Bethel Rd, Warren, NJ 07059). A burial will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (145 Mt Airy Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920).
