She was predeceased by : her parents, Carmelo Mercado and Catalina Mercado (Cera); and her brother Wilfredo Mercado. She is survived by : her husband Raymond Serrano; and her siblings, Carlos, Hubert Mercado and Innocencia Wejbe.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial (530 High Mountain Rd, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at the Christ the King Cemetery (980 Huron Rd, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417).
