He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Potenza and Angelina Potenza (Lapadura); and his brother-in-law Dominic Janots. He is survived by: his spouse Michele Potenza (Dougherty); his friend Tommy; his daughter Danielle Lesser (Robert) of Newfoundland; his grandchildren, Giavanna, Logan and Jayce; his siblings, Joseph Potenza (Kathy) of Lincoln Park, Richard Potenza of Garfield, Marlaine Janots of Lodi and Peter Potenza (Veronica) of Garfield; Duke, Barney and Shih Tzu.
Starting at just eighteen years old, he devoted 49 years to the trade before retiring in 2020 during the COVID pandemic.
