He is survived by: his sons, Cesar Gatica of Wayne, Hector Alcantara of Wayne and Edgar Alcantara of Mexico City, Mexico.; his parents, Jorge Hernandez and Ana Maria Alcantara; his siblings, Hilda Hernandez-Alcantara of Mexico City and Enrique Hernandez Alcantara of Wayne; his grandchildren, Renata, Regina and Danae Alcantara; and his pet Fat Cat. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his beloved pet.

Cremation will be private. The family has chosen to arrange a memorial mass at St. Mary R. C. Church, Pompton Lakes at a future date when the pandemic is lifted.
