He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Tice Rienstra and Angelina Rienstra; his daughter Alyson (Dave) of Hawthorne; his wife Judy (Barbato) of Wayne; his son Eric Rienstra (Nicole) of Pompton Lakes; his sisters, Mae Gorga (Barry) of Longs, SC and Gloria Quinn (Joseph) of Old Forge, PA; his grandchildren, Tyce, Nicholas, Gavin, Alexandria and Christopher; his brothers-in-law, Louis Barbato (Gina) of Boonton and James Barbato (Diane) of North Haledon; and his son Alan Rienstra. He was also cherished by his wife, children and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial Processing, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-9959.
