John Matysik Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 18, 2025, at the age of 82, John Matysik of Wayne, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping John's spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.

He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor; his sister Elizabeth; and his son-in-law Anthony. He is survived by: his daughter Heather; his grandchildren, Krystian and AJ Lanza; his brother Ralph (Phyllis); and his nieces and nephews, PJ (Kim), Maryanne, Ron (Kim) and Doug (Erin). He is also survived by many other extended family members, friends and neighbors.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home (567 Ratzer Rd, Wayne, NJ 07470). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of the Valley RC Church (630 Valley Rd, Wayne, NJ 07470).
