He was predeceased by : his brother Emanuel Catania. He is survived by : his family, Sicily and Christian; his wife Barbara Catania of Wayne; his children, Paul Catania (Carmel) of Glen Rock, NJ and Rosemarie Kneis (Ken) of Wayne, NJ; his brother Salvatore Catania (Marie) of Fort Lee, NJ; his grandchildren, Ryan Catania of Glen Rock, NJ, Grace Catania of Glen Rock, NJ, Matthew Kneis of Wayne, NJ and Amanda Kneis of Wayne, NJ; and his nieces, Jennifer Catania, Christine Catania and Paulette Ulisse. He is also survived by his family and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home (567 Ratzer Rd, Wayne, NJ 07470). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
