She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Helen Davies and George Davies; her spouse Austen I. LaRue; her children, Nancy LaRue Miller, Maryanne Cowan, Barbara LaRue of Suffern, NY and Rick LaRue (Susan Wolniakowski) of Duluth, MN; her grandchildren, J. R., Rachael and Alex Cowan; and her sisters, Janet Rink (Ronald Brain) of Woodland Park and Barbara Saporito Gattie (Jerry) of Butler. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

“I first met Mrs. LaRue over 50 years ago when I was in HS dating her daughter Maryanne. I would often stop by during my winter break at college just to say hello. She was just that type of person. I continued to keep in touch with yearly Christmas cars where we would exchange all the updates in our lives. She would proudly tell me of all the accomplishments of Maryanne, Barbara and Rickie. Sadly one day those Christmas cards stopped coming. Heaven is lucky to have such a new member. Todd Taylor”
