With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Murphy (Wayne, New Jersey), who passed away on December 11, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Aloysius Gilmore and Maria Naomi Rutt Gilmore; and her siblings, Robert A. Gilmore Jr., Paul Gilmore, Rosemary Gilmore and Claire (Gilmore) Burger (m. Roger Burger).
She is survived by: her children, Robert Peter Murphy Jr. of Pittstown, NJ, Christine Ann Murphy of Warwick, NY, Heather Maria (Murphy) and Bonner; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Murphy), Alexandra (Holmes), Rosario, Timothy Holmes, Taylor (Wright), Campbell and Victoria Holmes; her great grandchildren, Jayden Shepard, Karter Shepard, Zander Shepard, Sol Rosario and Rory Campbell; her pet Mia; and her sisters, Pamela (Gilmore), Dolan and Anne Gilmore. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Vander May Funeral Home (567 Ratzer Rd, Wayne, NJ 07470).
