He was predeceased by: his father David; his grandfather W. Downs Sr.; and his stepfather Martin Ettore. He is survived by: his wife Michele Downs; his sons, David M. Downs and Nicholas L. Downs; his mother Sharon Ettore; his brother Stephen Ettore; his stepbrothers, John, Martin and Barry Ettore; his nieces and nephews, Mila, Max, Matthew, Louis, Anna, Frances and Martina; his in-laws, Arlene, Richard Foley, Michael and Diane Mancano; his sister-in-law Sandy McCord; and his cousins, Danielle, Leslie, Amy Lynn and Anthony. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Simon Stock Parish (178 W White Horse Pike, Berlin, NJ 08009). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
