He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret; his daughters, Mary DeSorte (Donald Sr.) and Theresa Schafer (Joseph); his grandchildren, Donald DeSorte, Jr., Kerrie Henshaw (Jonathan), Francis DeSorte (Alyssa), Michael DeSorte, Mary Kate Schaeffer (Gordon), Brenna Vitarelli (Sam), Angeles Lazo (Adan), Domenica DeSorte, Rocco DeSorte, Margaret Cruz (Ashante), Joseph Schafer, Kevin Schafer (Karla) and Molly Osorio (Carlos); and his great grandchildren, Anna Henshaw, Xavier Henshaw of Gordon Schaeffer, IV., Gemma Schaeffer, Gia Schaeffer, Santino Vitarelli, Saverio Vitarelli, Angelo Vitarelli, Declan DeSorte, Alaina Schafer, Joseph Schafer, Julian Cruz, Elisa Cruz, Kyle Schafer, Diana Schafer and Roman Osorio.
