John B. Hamilton Obituary
We announce the death of John B. Hamilton of West Caldwell, New Jersey, who passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 95. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond S. Hamilton and Margaret Hamilton; and his siblings, Margaret "Peg" Watkins, Raymond S. "Sher" Hamilton, Jr. and Elizabeth "Betty" Lyons-DeRenzis.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Hamilton of Bloomfield; his children, Suanne McDonald (Brian), John B. Hamilton, Jr. and Scotty Hamilton; his sister Jane Ridley; his grandchildren, Brian McDonald (Olga Albova), Meghan Harvey (Will) and Sean McDonald (Julianna); and his great grandchildren, Liam, Teagan and Caden Harvey. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Garrett Jones Memorial.
