Catherine T. Boiardo Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 14, 2025, at the age of 96, Catherine T. Boiardo of West Orange, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Catherine had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Catherine may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerard Porreca and Mildred Porreca; her husband Anthony Boiardo; and her brothers, Joseph Porreca (Joe) and Gerard Porreca (Jerry).
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Richard Boiardo (Renee), Joanne Gavula (Stephen) and Melinda DiPrenda (Ken). She is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two nephews, one niece and six great nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church (28 Livingston Ave, Roseland, NJ 07068).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
