John C. Granz Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John C. Granz of West Orange, New Jersey, who passed away on October 23, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Granz and Virginia Granz (Burns). He is survived by: his wife Lucia A.; his daughters, Christine Granz and Stephanie Tafro (Anthony); his grandchildren, Tyler and Sophia; his sister Barbara Current (Tom); and his sister-in-law Marie Rubinetti.

Visitation was held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Shook-Farmer Funeral Home (45 Roseland Ave, Roseland, NJ 07068). A funeral service was held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
