It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kochannamma Prasad of West Orange, New Jersey, who passed away on May 16, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Mathew Purackal and Annamma Kandathil Purackal; and her siblings, Joseph, Eapen, Amini and Jacob.

She is survived by: her husband Dr. Sheo Shanker Prasad; her children, Dr. Joseph Philip Prasad (Elizabeth Mammen-Prasad), Anita Mathews (Roy) and Richard Thomas Prasad; her grandchildren, Sarah Marie Mathews (Scott Wise), Joshua Prasad, Roy Mathews, Jr. and Alexander Prasad (Frances Prasad); her brothers, Philip Mathew and Thomas Matthews; and her great grandchildren, Mia Prasad and Adelaide Mathews-Wise.

Face masks and social distancing will be required.
