It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis R. Borrello of West Orange, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Norma Palmieri. He is survived by : his children, Renée Hrop (Stephen) of Towaco and Robert Borrello of Lincoln Park; and his grandchildren, Rebecca, Joshua Hrop of Towaco, Sara and Emily Borrello of Lincoln Park. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“My thoughts and prayers are all yours my dear friend, Rene. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for your Dad. I remember the twinkle in his eyes when we got into mischief as young teens in WONJ. I will never forget the time he rescued us from NYC when we three 14 year old girls took the wrong train from MSG after a James Taylor concert circa 1970. We were all afraid to call our parents at 1:00am but you never doubted your Dad for a minute. He was truly one of the greatest generation.”
