We are sad to announce that on September 6, 2020, at the age of 23, Michael James Kohaut (West Orange, New Jersey) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Jim Kohaut and Mary Ann Kohaut; his brother Jimmy Kohaut; his pet Mochi; and his grandparents, Bill Griffith, Honey Kohaut and Judy Griffith.

In lieu of flowers, and to help raise awareness for addiction, the family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to CARES (Center for Addiction Recovery Education & Success) Cares was a support to the family and a resource for Michael every step of the way in his recovery.
