With sadness, we share the passing of John Patrick Wheatley Jr. of Westfield, New Jersey. John Patrick, born on September 21, 1937, passed away on October 4, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Patrick Wheatley Jr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Moran Wheatley; his parents, Ada Wheatley and John Wheatley Sr.; and his siblings, Elizabeth Wheatley Cohen, Joe and Kevin Wheatley.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Carol Marinelli; his pet Dixie; and his grandchildren, Jack, Ella, Mia, Sara Marinelli, Dominic and Olivia Chila.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dooley Colonial Home (556 Westfield Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. Helen RC Church (1600 Rahway Ave, Westfield, NJ 07090).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in John's memory to the Westfield Police Athletic League (PAL), which will benefit the children of the Westfield community.
