He was predeceased by: his wife Carole Ann Samaritano of Mary's Church; and his brothers, George, Alexander and Steven. He is survived by: his children, John R. Kovacs, Jr. and Ann Marie T. Kovacs; and his grandchildren, John R. Kovacs III and Maxim John-Carole Kovacs. He is also survived by many loving nephews, nieces, brother and sister-in-laws.
