He was predeceased by: his wife Christeen Blain; his daughter Mearlyn Majette (Blain); his parents, Easter Cooper Blain and James Blain; and his siblings, Eddie Cooper, Dorothy Speights, Elease Blain and Mattie Frierson.
He is survived by: his children, Rodney Blain and Nina Blain Lewis (Keith Theall); his grandchildren, Terrod Bailey, Nia Lewis, Karimah Majette-Otero (Daniel Otero), William Lawro and Yisrael Blain; his great grandchildren, Elias Otero, Dariel Otero and Terrice Bailey; and his siblings-in-law, Timothy Daniels and Rachel Fulmore. He is also survived by other relatives, and friends.
