He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Madden and Catherine Madden; his siblings, Thomas Madden, Frank Madden, Hugh Madden, Peggy Beatty and Kathleen Madden; and his son Cormac Madden.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Madden; his children, Michele Madden-Perez (Richard), Kate Gibney (Eamonn), Jennifer Madden and Michael Madden, Jr.; his brothers, William Madden and Jack Madden; and his grandchildren, Gavin, Brianna, McKenna, Liam, Brody and Ava.
