We are sad to announce that on May 21, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Katherine Dunn (Wharton, New Jersey), born in Dover, New Jersey. As we bid Katherine farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Katherine is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ruiz and Lucia Ruiz (Albensi); and her nephew Anthony. She is survived by: her husband Edward; her children, Sierra of Green Township, Sean of Green Township and Kyle of Green Township; and her siblings, Mary Ann Ruiz of Fredon, Victor Ruiz of Broadheadsville, PA, Susan Ruiz of Rockaway and John Ruiz of Byram.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bermingham Funeral Home (216 S Main St, Wharton, NJ 07885). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (4 Richards Ave, Dover, NJ 07801). A burial will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at the Locust Hill Cemetery (168 N Sussex St, Dover, NJ 07801).
