We are sad to announce that on December 23, 2023, at the age of 94, Ida Schlosser of Whiting, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, William Rabinovitch and Sonia Rabinovitch; her sister Faye; her daughter Lori Robin Schlosser; her spouse Meyer Schlosser; and her sister Evelyn.

In order to honor Edie's legacy as an artist, a scholarship is being created in her memory for a student of limited means who wishes to study fine art at Rutgers University: In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial donations be made to the Rutgers University Foundation in support of the Mason Gross School of the Arts IMO Ida (Edie) Schlosser. “My first memory of meeting Ms. Ida was when I was very pregnant with my son Daniel. Lori and I were at a conference and her parents met us at the Taj Mahal. She was so attentive and kind to me. She used to say that Lori and I were like the "Rug Rats," and I once heard her refer to me in talking to Lori, she said, it's "your sweetheart." I was always blown away by her talent as an artist. Her artwork had messages, of love, of family, and had amazing detail! And she gave me Lori!”
