She was predeceased by : her husband William J. Sass; and her brother Ronald M. Bolen. She is survived by : her daughter Linda Constandi (Michael) of Whiting; her grandson Peter J. Manes II; her stepgranddaughter Patty Constandi Nesley (Jeff); her great grandchildren, Jasmine Manes and Rhianna Manes; her stepgreat-grandson Robert Nesley; her sister Theresa R. Baudendstel; her nephews, Michael and Brian Bolen; and her niece Desiree Perzan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Norma's memory to St. Jude Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
