He was predeceased by: his siblings, James Vandergrift (Linda) and LaVerne Wilson (late Robert); and his parents, Thomas Vandergrift and Edith Vandergrift. He is survived by: his children, Carl Vandergrift Jr. (Dawn) and Kelly Chropka (Michael); his grandchildren, Grace Chropka, Joseph Chropka and Wyatt Vandergrift; and his siblings, Thomas Vandergrift (Evelyn) and Marie Cheruka (late Ronald).
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barclay Funeral Home (208 Maple St, Clayton, NJ 08312). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at the Manahath Cemetery (730 N Main St, Glassboro, NJ 08028).
