He was predeceased by: his wife Doris "June" Pierce; his son Erwin Pierce, Jr.; and his siblings, Russell Pierce and Maydelle Kane. He is survived by: his children, Gail Hatcher and Robert Pierce. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
