He was predeceased by: his children, Gervin E. "Gig" Parks, Jr. (Carol) and Matthew Parks (Terri); and his siblings, Gordon Parks, Gene Parks, George Parks, Marylou Parks and Elaine Simmons.
He is survived by: his wife Madeline E. Parks; his children, Rainee Riggins (Dave) and Nathaniel Parks (Sherry); his grandchildren, Erin Gillen (Sean), Kerri Finn (Eric), Kyle Parks (Lauren), Heather Cerrone (Nick), Ryan Parks, Anastasia Hallermeier-Parks, Taylor Riggins (Jack), Rachel Riggins (Steven) and Dylan Riggins; and his sister Dorothy Berkey. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
