He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jacqueline; his children, Nelson Bangs, Jr. (Kathy), Michele Mehlberger (Sue Kelly) and Michael Bangs (Jean); and his siblings, Joseph Bangs (Gerry) and Patricia Davidson. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren, 1 late grandchild, many great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
