He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Birmingham; his stepchildren, Jessica Cahill and Michael Cahill; and his siblings, Mary Anne Birmingham, Frank (Linda), Kathleen O'Donnell (Bill), Joseph (Rosemary) and James (Kim). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
