She was predeceased by : her mother Annette Pockriss. She is survived by : her husband Joseph Castro; her sister Laura; her brother-in-law Mitch Wienick; her son Brandon; her daughter-in-law Karina Montero-Castro; her stepson Joseph Paul; her daughter-in-law AnnMarie Castro; and her granddaughters, Jessica and Kaitlyn. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

Betty valued small acts of kindness, and so in lieu of flowers the family encourages anyone who would like to make a donation to a cause or charity of their choice in her name, that they genuinely believe will improve the life of another.
