Edward Charles Dean Obituary

Edward Charles Dean, 73, of Winfield Park , died Tuesday March 16, 2026 at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Winfield Park. Edward worked as a Heavy Machine Operator for the City of Rahway for many years before his retirement. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Dean was a former member of the Clark Alliance Church. He was predeceased by his parents Cranage Newton and Elizabeth (nee Gurlack) Dean , his daughter, Jamie Dean Carvalho (2003) and his sister Christine Dean. Edward is survived by his wife Linda (nee Turner) Dean of Winfield Park , his son Nicholas Dean of Winfield Park and his sister Sharon Weber and her husband Frank of Franklin Lakes. He will also be missed by his two grandsons James and Taran. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service , Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 11:00am at The Cranford Alliance Church located at 7 Cherry St , Cranford, NJ. Cremation was private. Arrangements were completed by the Pettit-Davis Funeral Home, 371 West Milton Ave, Rahway.
