“When I came into the world, my parents were living in the attic of the house next door to Bevy and her family. we moved one more house away, so as long as I've been aware, Bevy was there, keeping an eye on me. As I grew into a teenager, I worked several summers and Christmas vacations at the Store, and Bev was always there. She loaned me her car to get home whenever mine broke down. Sometimes a day before payday, she slipped $20 into my shirt pocket. I was so happy to visit her in Nov.2024”
