She was predeceased by: her husband John Laezza; her parents, Theodore E. Bongort and Wilhelmina; and her brothers, Theodore and Carl.

She is survived by: her daughters, Edie Merkel (Jack), Maria Singer (Billy) and Joan Genova (Frank); her grandchildren, Katie Cannon (Patrick), Joy Merkel (Praveen), John Merkel (Tabitha), Will Singer (Faye), Robert Merkel (Erin), Vincent Genova and Mary Rose Genova; and her great grandchildren, Emily Grace, Clara Mae, Liam Patrick, Kayleigh Adeline Cannon, Ellis Jonah Daniel, John Philip and Yael Fay Merkel. She is also survived by her grandchildren but all those who knew her, children.
