Joseph S. Yuhas Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Joseph S. Yuhas of Woodbridge, New Jersey. Joseph, born on August 20, 1936 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, passed away on October 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph M. Yuhas and Regina Yuhas. He is survived by: his significant other Maria May; his children, Michelle Gomes (Eric), Michael Yuhas (Lisa) and Kimberley Yuhas; and his grandchildren, Bryce and Blair Gomes. He is also survived by extended family members and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 8:45 AM at the Gerity & Chubenko Funeral Home (411 Amboy Ave, Woodbridge Township, NJ 07095). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. James R. C. Church (369 Amboy Ave, Woodbridge, NJ 07095). A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery.

Flowers are welcome, but the family requests that donations be made in Joseph's memory to a charity of your choosing.
