He was predeceased by: his father Frederick Benson; and his nephew Terry Miller. He is survived by: his mother Carol Benson; his sister Carolyn Lakatos; his brother-in-law Rick Taranovich; his brothers, Fred Benson (Veronica Kasian), Richard Benson (Michelle) and James Benson; and his nieces and nephews, Angela, Sim, Kristi, Richard, Rosie, Erick, Lauren, Chuck, Dillon and Jharleys.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Benson family.
