She was predeceased by: her parents, John Dougherty and Catherine Dougherty; her husband Robert F. McKelvey, Sr.; and her son Joseph McKelvey. She is survived by: her children, Joan Mazzarella (Benjamin), Catherine McKelvey (Geoffrey Dates), Theresa White (Stephen), Margaret Bartley (Raymond Muraszko), Robert F McKelvey, Jr. (Julie) and Patrick McKelvey (Angelina Paul).

Interment will take place privately in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Berlin, NJ. Services for Cass are being held privately due to the current health crisis caused by COVID-19.
